National Field Manager, Major Donor Development

Department: National Campus Office, Fund Development

Summary of Position: This individual supervises all Major Donor Development Field Representatives as well as Major Donor Development Operations and Administrative staff.

Responsibilities:

A. Planning

Help set and establish development goals - both departmental & individual
Develop new innovative strategies to accelerate goal fulfillment.
Establish field rep operational policies
Determine resources & people needed

B. Organizing

Develop efficient and effective systems & processes
Define Field Rep Territories
Approve all major donor caseload changes
Supply all field staff with necessary information, supplies & equipment
Implement 3 field rep training/ planning meetings per year

C. Staffing

Recruit qualified development personnel
Create and promote a healthy team & work environment

D. Training / Coaching

Develop & implement a training program
Create training manual
Oversee on-sight training
Always seek to improve training concepts & ideas
Motivate, counsel, & problem solve with those under supervision

E. Measuring

Track all Major Donor giving & allocations
Create and monitor monthly development goals for all field staff
Conduct annual staff reviews

F. Maintain Personal Caseload

Cultivate, elevate and service all donors who are on caseload
Participate in key events with donors like Vision Tours, Summits, Briefings, etc

G. Maintain personal support

Communicate regularly with donors.
Show donor appreciation
Raise additional support when needed

H. Accountability - Performance will be measured by:

Ability to accomplish the above effectively and efficiently
Ability to manage people, process deadlines, and budget while adhering to the policies and procedures of the ministry.
Ability to get along with peers, subordinates and management and maintain a positive and constructive attitude while solving problems.
Ability to be a team player and promote the mission, vision and values of the ministry.
