In 2000 the activities of any group labeled as a 'sect' were limited. As a result, there has been a massive decline in Christian churches. Many French have no meaningful contact with a church and have a profound indifference to the gospel. There is surprisingly widespread involvement with occultism, and as a result of immigration Islam has become the second religion.
