Spiritual Climate of Guinea
The former government leaders espoused Marxist rhetoric and a pro-Islamic stance, and Christians suffered considerably. There is now religious liberty for Christian witness, but Guinea is one of the least evangelized countries in Black Africa. Despite the increase in missionary activity, most peoples are still Muslims with strong animistic elements.
